Adeline Geneva Grace written by Benjamin J Nichols illustrated by Emily Carrier

While the story is fanciful, fun and filled with frivolity, it tells in verse and allegory the true story of a baby's first 24 days fighting for her life in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Promedica Hospital in Toledo, OH.

What People Are Saying:

Wowzers!! Just finished the first chapter of The Adventures of Adeline Geneva Grace. Extremely close to my heart is this adventure❤️. I actually shed a few tears while reading Chapter 1 to the children today. Beautiful story thus far! I happen to be a lover of a good rhyme. This story read remarkably. It flowed extremely well and captivated 4 children ages 2,2,3,and 4. Held their attention far beyond any audio book or other story without pictures that I have ever presented to them. Great Job Ben!!!!

We will continue with Chapter 2 tomorrow. I did not do a prior read to aquaint myself with the story or the lengh. I wanted this to be as if we had picked up a new book from the Library. Thank you for sharing with us!

This book is excellent and so timely. Exactly what we need to be teaching to our little girls, rather than the tired fairy tales about needy women who are rescued by a big, strong prince. The stories told to children leave a deep and lasting imprint; books like this impart the right message.

My 6 year old daughter adores this book and has asked to read it over several times (unprompted!) It really is a fast and fun read and keeps both her and my 2 year son engaged. It has wonderful life lessons intertwined into the story. Definitely one I don't mind reading again. And again.
